The cabin in the Kelp-forest is an illustrated children's book with a goal of contributing to increased understanding and appreciation of Norwegian underwater nature.
Barn i dag vokser opp med å lære om – for eksempel – granskogen, og vokser da opp med et ønske om å ta vare på den. Boken illustrerer de store tareskogene, korallrevene, anemonene og alt det andre som mange kanskje ikke vet finnes i norske hav. Målet er å sette søkelys på artsmangfold, farger og miljømangfoldet som befinner seg under overflaten i norske hav og gjennom dette bidra til respekt for det. Boken er produktet av en bacheloroppgave i Design ved Universitetet i Bergen, KMD
Children today grow up learning about - for example - the spruce forest, and then grow up with a desire to take care of it. The book illustrates the large kelp forests, coral reefs, anemones and everything else that many may not know is found in the Norwegian ocean. The goal is to shine a light on the diversity and colours that lie just below the surface of the Norwegian ocean and contribute to respect for it. The book is the product of a bachelor's thesis in Design at the University of Bergen, KMD
